Established in 2015, Riversley Park specialise in bloodstock sales, breaking-in, pre-training and Ready to Run sale preparation.

A fourth-generation horseman, Riversley Park's owner Sam Beatson has a strong history in both thoroughbred racing and show jumping and he has been breaking-in horses since he was a child.

A descendant of John Beatson, a successful amateur jockey in the 1870/80s and founding member of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club, thoroughbreds are in Sam's blood. His grandfather, George Beatson also raced horses (while still at school) and was a leading amateur jockey, owner/trainer, breeder and respected racing administrator.

Sam's equestrian talents initially saw him excel in the show jumping arena, representing New Zealand in India and Australia, before he settled in the thoroughbred industry where he has developed an admirable reputation for educating and preparing young horses for sale.

Sam originally operated under the Beatson Stables banner, before branching out on his own with Riversley Park in 2015.

Leading vendors at the NZB Ready to Run Sale of 2YOs for many years, in 2023 Riversley Park will offer their first yearling sale draft, at Karaka.
